Recipe: Apple Ginger Ale Salad

Apple Ginger Ale Salad

2 Tablespoons unflavored gelatin
2 Tablespoons cold water
1/3 cup boiling water
1 cup Vernors ginger ale
1/4 cup lemon juice
Dash salt
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/3 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped apple
1/3 cup canned crushed pineapple
2 Tablespoons chopped candied ginger

Soften gelatin in cold water, stir in boiling water until dissolved. Stir in Vernors, lemon juice, salt and sugar and chill until mixture starts to thicken. Fold in celery, apple, pineapple and ginger. Chill until firm and serve with a tart dressing.
