Recipe(tried): Baja Style Hot Dogs

Sandwiches
I would consider this a gourmet Hot dog that you get at a corner stand in the streets of Baja California Mexico.

BAJA STYLE HOT DOGS

hot dogs (beef, turkey or what ever kind you like)
bacon (1 strip per hot dog)
hot dog buns
mayonnaise
1 large tomato
1 small onion, diced
1 avocado, diced
ketchup

Preheat a BBQ grill.

Wrap each hot dog individually with a strip of bacon*.

Place wrapped hot dogs on heated grill and cook until bacon is fully cooked.

Place the hot dog buns on the grill for about 1 to 2 minute or so, to give them a little crunch on the outside.

Take the buns and franks off the grill.

Put some mayonnaise on the inside of the hot dog buns and place the franks in them.

Top with some of the tomato, onion, and avocado; add some ketchup.

Now you have yourself a gourmet Hot dog.

*If you have a problem keeping the bacon on the frank, use a toothpick to keep it in place and remove it when the frank is cooked.
