BAKED HAM WITH CHERRY SAUCE
1 canned ham (3 to 4 1/2 lb)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
Remove ham from can and place fat side up in a shallow baking pan.
Combine brown sugar and honey; spoon over the ham.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 1/4 to 2 hours. Basting occasionally with the drippings.
Serve hot Cherry Sauce, spooned over baked ham slices.
CHERRY SAUCE:
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 can red sour pitted cherries, drained, reserve juice
red food coloring
Combine dry ingredients. Slowly add juice from cherries. Cook until thick and clear. Add cherries and red food coloring. Enough for 4 servings; double recipe if needed.
