Recipe(tried): Baked Stuffed Clams

We get to dig lots of clams where we live. A favorite recipe is:

Scrub & wash clams. Steam the clams till they open. Scrape out the "meat"

Dice the clams and set aside. Prepare the mixture:

Saute in butter: onions, garlic & green pepper till tender.
Add FRESH bread crumbs and parley.
Mix in the clams, some hot sauce (Tobasco), salt & Pepper to taste.

Fill the clam shells. Top with a few slivers of bacon and broil.

I make these for beach parties and they're the first to go!
