Recipe(tried): Banana Split Cake Variation (without eggs)

I use a slight variation to this version of Banana Split Cake the "ice cream" layer can be made with a small tub of cool whip, a pkg of cream cheese and the powdered sugar, beat together. I add fresh strawberries to the fruit layer. I also use fresh made heavy whipping cream (you know those little milk cartons you buy and beat yourself) add powdered sugar to taste, and put that on top instead of just the cool whip - it's much richer. I totally agree to use chopped sundae nuts - it really adds that authentic flavor. I also sometimes bake the graham crust first with the same nuts (or pecans) baked inside of the crust- tastes even better! Either way you make it this is a fabulous dessert, fit for a queen!!
