Recipe: Bean, Barley and Sausage Soup (crock pot)

1 lb dry kidney beans
water
1 pkg smoked polish sausage, sliced
1 3/4 quarts water
1 cup barley, regular
2 garlic cloves; peeled
1 tbsp salt
1 parsley sprig
Put rinsed beans in large saucepan. Add water, cover and let stand overnight.
Drain off water the next day. Put beans, barley and remaining ingredients into a crock pot. Stir.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
