Recipe(tried): Bean, beef and veg soup

500g (1 lb) stewing beef with bone, 2 litres water, 1 tsp. salt, pinch pepper, 2 medium potatoes, 2 med. carrots, 1 med. onion, 1 ripe tomato, 200 g/200 ml chopped frozen green beans or any other bean if you prefer, handful of shell noodles or broken spaghetti, 1 can (400 ml) bean soup, worcester sauce, chopped parsley
Boil meat till tender in water with salt and pepper added. Peel potatoes, carrots, onion and tomato. When meat is nearly cooked add them, together with the green beans, to the meat. Continue cooking till the vegs. are tender.
Remove meat and veg from pot. Cut meat into smaller pieces and mash the veg. Return them to soup in pot. Add the noodles and bean soup and cook till the noodles are tender. Add extra water if necessary.
Season soup with extra salt and pepper, Worcester sauce and parsley if necessary. Makes about 1.8 litres of soup.
N.B. DONT SCORN THE CANNED SOUP AS THAT IS THE MAGIC INGREDIENT.
