Recipe: Beef Skillet Dinner (using tomatoes, cabbage, macaroni, and cheddar)

BEEF SKILLET DINNER

2 tablespoons shortening
1 pound ground beef
1 (29 ounce) can tomatoes, undrained, cut up
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups chopped cabbage
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 cup uncooked macaroni
1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Heat shortening in a large skillet, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat from skillet.

Blend tomatoes, salt, and Worcestershire sauce with ground beef in skillet. Bring to a boil.

Add cabbage, parsley, and macaroni. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.

Servings: 6
