Recipe: Caramel-Pecan Turtle Muffins

CARAMEL-PECAN TURTLE MUFFINS

30 caramel candies, unwrapped
21-ounce package fudge brownie mix
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons water
Powdered sugar

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Set aside 6 caramels garnish. Cut remaining caramels in half; set aside. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, stirring in halved caramels, pecans and chips. Fill paper or foil lined muffin pans with about 1/3 cup of batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until tests done. Cool in pan on wire rack.

In small microwave bowl, combine reserved 6 caramels and water. Microwave on HIGH for 40 to 60 seconds or until melted. Stir until smooth.

Remove muffins from pan and drizzle with melted caramel; let stand 5 minutes to cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
