CHICKEN IN A POT
1 small carrot, thinly sliced
1/2 celery stalk, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced or chopped
3 chicken pieces without skin or fat
2 tbsp chopped prosciutto or any other ham
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp dry parsley leaves
5 sliced mushrooms
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp water or white wine or Balsamic Vinegar
Place vegetables in the bottom of the appliance. Arrange chicken on top, add the prosciutto or ham, the paprika, parsley, salt and pepper and the wine or Balsamic Vinegar over all. Cover and cook 7 to 10 hours. Delicious!
Can be served with mashed potatoes or white rice and some frozen vegetables, saute with some butter, a tbsp of wine and salt and pepper to taste. Add a pinch of flour to the vegetables to thicken the gravy.
