Recipe(tried): Chipped Ham..a different version from what you are describing

Sandwiches
Hope..I lived in Pittsburgh 52 years ago and this recipe was one that was given to me when I lived there. It does not have mayo or cheese in it but your request brought this to mind when I read it. I made it often and we liked it very much. I have not made it in a long time.

Chipped Ham

1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
2 to 3 Tablespoons vinegar
l pound shaved very thin ham

Mix first 5 ingredients in a saucepan.

Heat to boiling and add 1 pound thinly shaved ham.

Simmer and serve hot on buns.
