Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 sticks butter -- softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar -- salted to taste
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 egg
2 cups Nestle's Toll House Semi-sweet chocolate
Combine flour, baking soda & salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugars, & vanilla together in a larger mixing bowl. Add eggs one at time, beating well after each addition.; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. Let stand for two minutes. Remove to wire rack.
Variations: Prepare dough as above. Spread into a greased 15x10 inch jellyroll pan. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. cool in pan on a wire rack.
Makes about 4 dozen bars.
