CHOCOLATE DIPPED PEANUT BUTTER BALLS
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3/4 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3 tbsp. shortening
In large bowl combine sugar, graham cracker crumbs, pecans and coconut.
Melt margarine and peanut butter together. Stir into sugar mixture until mixture is moistened. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls.
In another small saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate pieces with shortening.
Spear balls on wooden pick, dip individually into chocolate mixture until coated. Place balls on waxed paper, chill to set.
Store candies tightly covered between layers of waxed paper in a cool place.
Makes 4 dozen
