Recipe: Coconut Bon Bons and Peanut Butter Bon Bons - Recipes for Sheila!

COCONUT BON BONS

1 (15 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
2 Cups confectioners sugar
12 oz coconut
24 oz semi-sweet chocolate
4 Tbsp shortening

Mix together first 4 ingredients. Cover and chill for 24 hrs.

Roll chilled coconut mixture in balls.

Melt chocolate with shortening. With fork or candy dipper, dip in melted chocolate. Place on waxed or parchment paper to cool and dry.


PEANUT BUTTER BON BONS

2 boxes (1 lb each) powdered sugar
1 lb. butter, softened
1 quart peanut butter
1/2 lb. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Mix sugar, butter, and peanut butter together. Roll into balls about the size of olives.

Refrigerate for 2 hours or put into freezer until cold. Must be cold to dip.

Melt chocolate morsels. Dip bon-bons in melted chocolate and let cool.
