Desserts - Candy, Chocolate
CHOCOLATE FUDGE

A very old recipe - from my Grandmother - better than 80 years ago.

4 squares of dark unsweeten chocolate
2 cups of sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter

Put all in large sauce pan - bring to a boil - stir slightly - let boil until soft ball stage - about 20 minutes - better if use a candy thermometer.

Once reahes soft ball stage - remove from heat and let cool down - wait at least 20 minutes - add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 2 tablespoons of butter.

Beat with a wooden spoon until thicken and gloss is gone - pour into buttered dish and let finish cooling and harden.

This is almost a never fail fudge from the olden days.
