Recipe: Chocolate Icebox Cake

CHOCOLATE ICEBOX CAKE

1 lb. box graham crackers
3 squares (1 oz each) bitter chocolate or 1 cup cocoa
2 cups water
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 egg yolk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
8 oz. Cool Whip or Dream Whip

Mix chocolate or cocoa, water and cornstarch. Bring to
boil. Mix egg yolk, sugar and vanilla. Add to water mixture.

Continue boiling until thick. Remove from heat and let cool.

Arrange first layer of crackers in a 3 cracker x 3 cracker
square on cake plate. Spread with pudding. Continue layers
ending with crackers. Frost with thick layer of Cool Whip or Dream Whip.

Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Slice in
approximately 1 1/2 x 3-inch pieces.
