Recipe(tried): Club Sandwiches

Sandwiches
of sandwiches.

Club Sandwiches
Makes 4 sandwiches

12 slices of white bread,toasted
1/2 cup mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
16 slices of crisp bacon
2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
4 large lettuce leaves
4 slices of thinly sliced ham
8 slices of chicken breast
4 slices american cheese
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each of the pieces of toast. Arrange 4 slices of bacon on each of 4 slices of toast. Place tomato slices on the bacon and top with 1 lettuce leaf. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top this with another slice of toast, mayonnaise side up.

Arrange 1 ham slice on each sandwich and top with 2 chicken slices. Put American cheese slices over chicken on each sandwich. Finish with the last slices of toast, mayonnaise side down. Cut in half diagonally, then in 1/2 again. Sandwiches may be held together with toothpicks.

Will be served with potato chips and dill pickle strips and leftover deep dish blackberry pie.
