Recipe: Corn Chip Casserole (using creamed corn and cheddar cheese)

CORN CHIP CASSEROLE

1/4 cup sliced green onions
3/4 cup sliced celery
1 tbsp. butter
1 (17 oz.) can creamed corn
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
6 oz. corn chips
1/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a large casserole dish.

Saute onion and celery in butter.

Combine corn, eggs, milk, oregano, salt, and sauteed mixture. Thinly layer corn mixture, corn chips, and cheese in the prepared casserole dish until you run out of ingredients, ending with chips.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 40 minutes, uncovered.
