Recipe: Apple and Cheese Dessert (2) and Scalloped Apples (using Velveeta and apple pie filling)

3/4 cup sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine, room temperature
3/4 cup flour
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes, room temperature
1 can apple pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream sugar and margarine together. Add flour and cheese to this mixture.
Put apples in baking dish and spread cheese mixture on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
APPLE-CHEESE BAKE
1 cup sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
1/2 lb. Velveeta, melted
3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cans apple pie filling
cinnamon (for top)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream sugar and butter together. Add melted Velveeta and flour.
Mix 1/2 of cheese mixture with apples and pour into a buttered dish. Pour remaining cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
SCALLOPED APPLES
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 can pie apples, drained or 1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling*
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Soften butter and cheese to room temperature or soften in microwave oven.
Place apples in greased casserole dish.
Mix butter, cheese, sugar and flour well, pour mixture over apples. Spread evenly.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until light brown.
*Note from source: This is a good accompaniment for meat. For a sweeter dish, almost like dessert, use the pie filling.
