Recipe: Creme Fraiche (2)/Creamy Fruit Dressing

Misc.
Hi Judy, Here are you are. I have 2 different ones and a creamy fruit dressing: Creme Fraiche #1: 1 cup heavy or whipping cream (not ultra-pasteurized), 1 cup dairy sour cream. Whisk the 2 creams together in a small bowl until thoroughly blended. Pour into a jar, cover and let stand in a warm place until thickened, about 12 hours. Stir well and refrigerate covered for 36 hours before using. Creme fraiche will keep 7 - 10 days. (2 cups) Creme friache #2: 2 cups whipping cream , 2 teaspoons buttermilk. Pour the cream and buttermilk into a large glass jar. Cover and shake vigorously for 1 min. Let stand in a warm place until thickened, at least 12 hours. Stir well and refrigerate at least 24 hours before using. Will last same as above 7 - 10 days. CREAMY FRUIT DRESSING: In a mixing bowl combine 1 cup mayonaise or salad dressing, 1 cup sour cream, 1 1/2 tsp. shredded orange peel, 3 Tbls. orange juice, and 4 tsp. sugar. Makes 2 1/4 cups. Hope this helps. I have more fruit salad dressings if you are interested.
