TWINKIE FILLING
This frosting is easy. If you have yellow cake, split the layers and put the filling between.
1 cup milk
5 tbsp flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Crisco vegetable shortening
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
In a large sauce pan mix the milk with the flour; boil until thick. Let it cool.
Beat until fluffy and add the remaining ingredients, beating well after you add each one.
For the flavor to develop, I let 1 day or at least 16 hours go by before serving.
