Recipe: Crisp Butter Drops (cookies using raisins, walnuts and coconut, 1950's)

CRISP BUTTER DROPS


1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup broken walnuts
2/3 cup white (golden) raisins
1 cup shredded coconut

Cream butter with sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in eggs (one at a time). Add flour and salt; mix well. Stir in vanilla, nuts, raisins and coconut. Chill dough one hour.

Drop by teaspoon on a cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Makes 4 1/2 dozen cookies
