Recipe: Quick Oat Bars (with toasted oats, coconut, honey and brown sugar)

4 cups quick oats, uncooked
1 1/3 cups coconut
3/4 cup margarine, melted
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp. salt
Toast oats on cookie sheet in 350 degree F oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
Combine toasted oats with remaining ingredients. Mix well. Press firmly into well greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/3 inch pan.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Cool thoroughly; cut into bars.
VARIATION:
Add bits of apricots, prunes, or raisins.
