Recipe: Crispy Fried Calamari (repost)

Appetizers and Snacks
Hi June!

I wonder if the calamari were too wet and maybe the batter dissolved or thinned out? Here's a recipe previously shared that might work for you:

Patt5, wash out calamari and dry very well. Use a 1/2 flour and 1/2 cornmeal (fine) mixture. Add salt, pepper and and many varieties such as, cajun spice orchili pepper or old bay spice mixture . Dredge well working the flour mixture in with fingers and then place in mesh strainer and shake off excess. Fry @ 375 dgrees for 3 to 4 minutes. With calamari you cook for 3 o4 minutes or 30 or 40 minutes. Good luck Chef Al

Happy Cooking!
