Sift together flour and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Turn into prepared pan.

CHOCO-KRISPIE BARS
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup margarine, room temperature
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (1 oz) square unsweetened baking chocolate, melted (or 2 tbsp. cocoa)
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
1 cup milk chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place sugar, flour, margarine, eggs, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl and mix for 3 minutes. Stir in the melted baking chocolate and nuts. Spread in a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Spread 1 jar marshmallow creme (heat creme if necessary to make spreading easier) over hot layer and bake 3 minutes more.
Melt chocolate chips (half milk chocolate, half semi-sweet) and peanut butter. Stir in the Rice Krispies. Spread over all.
Chill and cut into squares.
Hi April,
These look like what you described but are missing the peanut butter layer that you mentioned under the marshmallow creme layer. If you want to add that I would let the baked layer cool then either spread with a layer of peanut butter or melt 1 cup of peanut butter chips with 1 cup peanut butter and use that. Then warm the marshmallow creme so it's spreadable over that layer (maybe even chill the bars first). Then finish the recipe as listed - if that makes any sense!
Happy Baking,
Betsy
