Misc. The lady gave a very good recipe except that as we both beleive, 1/2 lb. of garlic is too much. One head of garlic (that contains many cloves) is overpowering. Perhaps from 3 to 6 cloves (the small ones that are the only ones that we find at Puerto Rico) will be reasonable, depending on the particular taste. For example we use a lot of garlic, but for general taste, it is less than 6-10 cloves (small ones).
Anyway, the recipe is excellent. Someday, if you are doing a Paella, prepare some (divide the recipe by 1/2), & keep the remaining amount in the refrigerator. You will taste the difference. Also, if you plan on doing some crostini, use it as base for the cheese to be melted. And for soups, while boilinf the chicken or beef, 1/4 cup is heaven. Try it, you will taste the difference!
