Recipe: Delicious Chocolate Popcorn (using chocolate chips)

DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE POPCORN

12 cups popped popcorn
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon vanilla

Place popcorn on a lightly greased 15 by 10-inch jellyroll pan; set aside.

Bring sugar, syrup, and butter to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat; add chocolate morsels and vanilla, stirring until melted. Drizzle chocolate mixture over popcorn, stirring to coat.

Bake at 250 degrees F for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Transfer popcorn to a wax paper-lined pan to cool, stirring occasionally.

Makes 14 cups, 28 servings
