Recipe: Jalapeno Cheese Bread and Jalapeno Bread (Bread Machine)

JALAPENO CHEESE BREAD
Makes one (1 1/2 pound) loaf

7 ounces water
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup jalapeno cheese, shredded
1/4 cup jalapeno peppers, chopped
2 1/4 cups white bread flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.

Select Basic bread cycle and start machine.


JALAPENO BREAD
Makes one (1-pound) loaf

1 tablespoon Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 package active dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup unbleached flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup bread flour
7/8 cup water
2 tablespoons or less jalapeno peppers, chopped

Put all ingredients, in the order given, into the bread pan, select white or basic, light or medium crust.

Use fewer jalapenos or mild chile peppers for a milder bread.
