Double-Chocolate Brownies

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 egg whites
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup Dutch process cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Vegetable cooking spray
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl; beat at medium speed of a mixer until well-blended. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; stir well. Add to sugar mixture; beat just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour mixture into a 9-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, and sprinkle with the chocolate morsels. Let stand 3 minutes or until morsels soften; spread softened morsels over brownies, using a knife or metal spatula. Let cool on a wire rack.
