Recipe(tried): Easy Scampi-Style Calamari

I have cooked calamari steaks for years and my family like it scampy style the best.

take the steaks and flour and seasonings of your choice. I use parsley, some sort of seasoning blend that's salt free. put 1/2 stick of butter and some veg. oil. chopp up 2-3 gloves lf garlic 1/4 onion. use what you prefer. and than pan fry. no more that 5 min on each side. calamari is very tough when over cooked. you should be able to cut it with a fork. Take them out of the pan and then add some milk to make a sauce. you can use half milk and half water about 1/2 cup of each. add fresh herbs if you like to the sauce.
