Recipe(tried): Easy way to thicken broth for chicken and dumplings (using canned soup)
Main Dishes - Chicken, PoultryThe easiest and *tastiest* thing to do to make the broth thicker for Chicken and dumplings is simply to scoop out a cup of broth from the pot and mix with a can of cream of chicken soup in another bowl.
Wisk it until it is smooth and add back to your dumplings.
It is the creamiest and best, not to mention EASIEST!
Forget all the flour and corn starch. That takes the flavor AWAY! You have to add so much that you almost get a corn starchy taste or a floury tast.
Cream of chicken ADDS flavor. YUM!
