Recipe(tried): Every Day Waffles (Betty Crocker Cookbook, 1970's)
Breakfast and BrunchEVERY DAY WAFFLES
(Half batch*)
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 beaten egg yolks
1 cup milk
1/4 cup salad oil or melted shortening
1 egg white, stiffly beaten
Sift together dry ingredients.
Combine yolks, milk, and oil; stir into dry ingredients. Fold in whites, leaving a few fluffs. Bake.
