Recipe: freezing broccoli

Side Dishes - Vegetables
Broccoli is usually frozen. Soak broccoli spears in a brine of 1 cup salt to 1 gallon water to remove insects. Rinse and drain. Blanch med. size sections 3 minutes or large ones for 4 minutes. Cool, drain. Pack into bags, jars, or plastic contaainers and freeze.
