Recipe(tried): Fried Cabbage

Misc.

Hi Wade;
This is how my Mom did it and how I've done it for many years.
FRIED CABBAGE
One large head of cabbage
2 or 3 large onions
1/2 stick of butter or oleo
Cut the cabbage into quarters, remove the core, slice each quarter, thinly into long slices. Cut onions in half and thinly slice.
Melt the butter in a large skillet, add the onions and cabbage, turn the heat to medium . "Fry", turning frequently until cabbage is browned and tender to your likeness.
In the beginning this will fill a large skillet, but as it fries it will wilt down to about 1/2 the amount you started with.
