Recipe: Fruit Cocktail Cake (using quick bread mix)

FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE

1 pkg. Pillsbury Quick Bread Mix
1 (1 lb.) can fruit cocktail, undrained
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease and flour 8 to 9-inch square or 11 x 7-inch pan.

Combine dry quick bread mix, undrained fruit cocktail and egg; stir 60 to 75 strokes until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan.

Combine nuts, chocolate chips, and brown sugar; sprinkle over batter.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold.
