Recipe: Grape Salad (without pineapple) for Polly, AL

Hi Polly:-) I looked at several recipes for Grape Salad and none of them included pineapple tidbits. However, I don't know why you couldn't add them. Below is a recipe that you can use. You might want to wait to add the pecans just before serving so they don't get soggy.

GRAPE SALAD
15 servings

2 lbs green seedless grapes
2 lbs red seedless grapes
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 (8 ounce) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, to taste
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 cup brown sugar, packed, to taste
1 cup crushed pecans, to taste

Wash and stem grapes; set aside.

Mix sour cream, cream cheese, white granulated sugar, and vanilla by hand until blended. Stir grapes into mixture, and pour in large serving bowl.

TO MAKE THE TOPPING:
Combine brown sugar, and crushed pecans. Sprinkle over top of grapes to cover completely.

Chill overnight.

(Don't serve whole grapes to children.)
