Recipe: Guacamole from The New Good Housekeeping, 1963

Appetizers and Snacks
The New Good Housekeeping Cookbook from 1963 has the following (directly transcribed):

In chopping bowl, chop 1 small onion, 1 small dried pepper (optional), 1 tomato, fine. Add 6 peeled avocados, 2 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp lemon juice, 2 Tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tsp salad oil, 4 drops Tabasco. Chop fine, don't mash. Serve in a bowl or on greens. Serves 8.

The Good Housekeeping complete book of entertaining from 1971 and general cookbook from 1973 contain guacamole recipes that are not at all what you describe, as they omit mayonnaise, citrus juice and salad oil. The next time a guacamole recipe appears in one of their cookbooks is 1982 with a recipe that is simply a whole other ballgame- way more ingredients and no mayo. Is it possible this recipe was not from the 1970s, but 1960s? If so, looks like the 1963 fits the bill.
