Herb Seasoned Green Beans:
Yield:6 servings
1 1/2 lb.fresh green beans
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbls. chopped celery
1 large garlic clove,minced
3 Tbls. butter or margarine
3/4 tsp. dried whole rosemary, crushed
3/4 tsp. dried whole basil
Wash beans thoroughly in cold water. Cut beans into 1 inch pieces.
Place beans,salt & about 1 1/2 cups water in a large saucepan, bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat & simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients, cover & cook an additional 10-15 minutes or til tender.
