Recipe(tried): Here's a recipe a got from a man who

Misc.

owned a retaurant in the Twin Cities. It's very very good and melt in your mouth tender! And the gravey this makes is "to die for"!!

Pot Roast 2-3 pounds
1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1/4 cup melted butter
1 clove of garlic cut in to chunks/slices (keep them large enough to remove later after cooking)

Spray the inside of your roaster with cooking spray. Take your roast and make cuts in it on both sides. Put the garlic into the "slits" of the roast. Put the soup mix in the melted butter and stir till its kind of pasty-like. Then smear this onto both sides of the roast. Now, this is where he says is VERY important-
NEVER NEVER use the lid to the roaster you are using, he says that just makes the meat tough and "steamed". He says you should ALWAYS use tin foil and place it all around the pan then leave a small corner spout (for steam to escape). Cook your roast depending on its size accordingly. When it's done remove the garlic chunks and the meat from the pan. Now you can go ahead and make your favorite gravey. Just try this at least once, and you will see. Good luck!
