Recipe(tried): Hershey Bar Cream Pie (using melted marshmallows and whipped cream)
Desserts - Pies and TartsADVERTISEMENT
This is one of those recipes that is so easy that it is almost embarassing. However it is a favorite here but we like milk chocolate.
HERSHEY BAR CREAM PIE
16 large marshmallows
6 Hershey Bars (1.55 oz. each)
1/2 cup milk
1 pint heavy whipping cream, divided use
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Sugar (for whipped cream, as needed)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt marshmallows, Hershey Bars and milk together slowly; stirring often until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside for 30-45 minutes.
Whip 1/2 pint whipping cream until stiffly beaten. Gently mix in chocolate-marshmallow mixture until evenly distributed. Pour into baked shell and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
Whip remaining 1/2 pint heavy cream, sweeten to taste with sugar and flavor with vanilla. Cover top of pie with whipped cream and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Hope you enjoy this and the fish, too. By the way, I used orange roughy and imitation crab when I made it(we have to have our fish {{mild}} here).
