Recipe(tried): Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

Beverages

I cut these out of the newspaper several years ago. I have given them as gifts as well as used them on camping trips myself. I save interesting jars to put the mix in and use a decorative label to adhere the directions right to the container. Enjoy, Julie.

1.)Hot Mocha Mix Yield: 6.5 C
1 c unsweetened cocoa (such as Hersheys)
2 c ea.: sugar, nonfat dry milk, & dry non-dairy coffee creamer
1.5 c instant coffee (try a flavored one)
1 vanilla bean, cut into 4 pieces
Combine everything in a large bowl. Pack into jars making sure to place one of the pieces of vanilla bean in each jar. Store in fridge for a week to mellow. Use 3 level Tablespoons per 6 oz. of boiling water.

2 c nonfat dry milk powder
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c ea.: unsweetened cocoa (such as Hersheys) & powdered non-dairy creamer

Combine everything in a large bowl. Combine 1/4 c mix with 3/4 c boiling water per 6 oz. of boiling water.
