HONEY BARS WITH GLAZE
FOR THE HONEY BARS:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup honey
1 egg, beaten
2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
FOR THE GLAZE:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Mix the sugar, oil, honey, and egg together well. Add the dry ingredients. Stir all together well. Pat down dough with hand in an 11x16 inch ungreased pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Combine ingredients for the glaze and spread over bars as soon as bars come out of oven. Cut while slightly warm.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9 inch pan.
Stir sugar, oil, honey, and egg together.
Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir into sugar mixture. Mix in pecans or raisins. Dough will be thick like cookie dough. Press into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Combine ingredients for the glaze and stir until smooth. Spread over bars while hot.
