Recipe: Hot Pepper Dip
Appetizers and SnacksHOT PEPPER DIP
25 green or yellow green hot peppers (the long pointed shape)
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil (or more)
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) package Colby jack cheese, grated
1 (8 ounce) package Asiago cheese, grated
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
2/3 cup of bread crumbs (or little more)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Take seeds out of peppers cut in half cut in rings put in frying pan with chopped onions an garlic with olive oil, enough to cover bottom pan. Make sure you have enough oil in pan you might have to add a little more. Fry till tender; cool about 5 minutes.
Mix all the cheese and garlic powder together. When pepper mixture is cooled down, put in cheese mixture and mix together. Mix in bread crumbs and garlic powder; make sure the cheeses are mixed in good, use your hands.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes.
Best you ever had.
