Recipe(tried): How to Freeze Onions

I dice onions and then freeze in one cup measurements in small ziploc sandwich bags, then place them inside a gallon size one. Then, I place inside another one, just so they don't give off odors in my freezer. You can freeze them on cookie sheets if you like first. They are only good in cooked foods afterwards because the cell walls break down during freezing and get watery. I am so thankful everytime I cook something using onions that I have done this ahead of time. Wish I had started doing this years ago.
