Recipe: How to Make Baked (Shirred) Eggs

Baked (Shirred) Eggs

2 eggs
1 tablespoon half and half, light cream, or skim or low-fat milk

Break and slip eggs into greased ramekin, shallow baking dish or 10-ounce custard cup. Spoon half and half over eggs.

Bake in preheated 325 degrees F oven until whites are completely set and yolks begin to thicken but are not hard, about 12 to 18 minutes, depending on number of servings being baked.

Makes 1 to 2 servings
