1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 1/2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix (biscuit mix)

1 egg
2 tablespoons shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Blend remaining ingredients except whipped cream in large mixer bowl on low speed 1/2 minute, scraping bowl frequently. Beat 4 minutes medium speed. Pour batter over hot pie filling.
