Recipe: Kay's Non-Runny Sloppy Joes (using tomato soup and tomato paste, freeze ahead)

KAY'S NON-RUNNY SLOPPY JOES

1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
1/2 large green bell pepper, chopped fine
2 stalks celery, chopped fine
1 small onion, chopped fine
Salt, to taste
1 pinch brown sugar
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can Campbell's Condensed Cream of Tomato Soup
2/3 of a 4 ounce can Hunt's Tomato Paste*
Hamburger buns

Saute ground chuck, green pepper, celery and onion until lightly browned and vegetables are tender. Add salt and brown sugar.

Add (undiluted) soup and tomato paste; mix well. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.

Serve in hamburger buns.

TO FREEZE AHEAD:
This freezes well. When reheating, add a little water.

Makes 6 servings
