Recipe: Lithuanian Cold Beet Soup (using canned beets and buttermilk)

I'm Lithuanian and i have grown up with this recipe. I'm sure it varies depending on where you are from.
Simply mix together:
2 cans julienned beets with their juices
1 quart buttermilk
10-12 hard boiled eggs, chopped into bite size pieces
2 cucumbers, chopped into bite size pieces
1 bunch green onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste if you please
..and..voila a yummy tasty summertime meal.
