Low Sugar Apple Crisp (microwave)
4 cups apples, peeled, cored, sliced*
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp butter or margarine
3/4 cup rolled oats
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp chopped nuts
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Place apples in a microwave baking pan and sprinkle with lemon juice.
In a small bowl, melt butter at High for 30 to 45 seconds.
Stir in rolled oats, brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon. Combine well. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
Microwave at High for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to stand 5 to 7 minutes after cooking time.
*Substitute peaches or pears when they are in season.
Makes 8 Servings each 1/2 cup 1 fruit choice, 1 fat choice
