Recipe: M&M's Cookie Mix in a Jar

M and M's Cookie Mix in a Jar
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups M and M's candies
2 cups flour mixed with 1/2 tsp. baking soda, and 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Layer ingredients in jar in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.
It will be a tight fit when you add the flour mixture so be sure to pack everything
down firmly.
Instructions to attach to jar:
1. Empty jar of cookie mix into a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly
blend mix.
2. Add 1 stick margarine or butter softened at room temp. 1 egg, slightly
beathen, and 1 tsp. vanilla. (don't use diet margarine)
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing with your hands.
4. Shape into balls the size of wanuts and place on parchment lined
cookie sheet. bake at 375 for 12 14 mins . Cool on cookie sheet for about 5 mins.
then remove to wire racks. makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies
